Ex-VP calls on China 'not to widen distance' with Taiwanese

Former Vice President Wu Den-yih (吳敦義) called on China to engage in a "peaceful competition" with Taiwan, instead of doing things that would widen the psychological distance between the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
