TABLE TENNIS/Taiwan's Lin Yun-ju loses in semifinals at WTT Champions Incheon

Taipei, April 6 (CNA) Taiwan's Lin Yun-ju (林昀儒) lost 2-4 Sunday to South Korea's Lee Sang-su in the men's singles semifinals match at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Champions Incheon in South Korea.
Lin, the world No. 14 ranked player, defeated Japan's Sora Matsushima 4-1 to reach the semifinals, where he faced unexpectedly stiff competition from the world No. 45 Lee in front of the home crowd.
The match started out even at 4-4, after which Lin pulled ahead to win the first game 11-5. He then lost the second game by the same score.
In the third game, Lin blew an 8-5 lead, allowing Lee to take six of the next seven points and grab an 11-9 victory.
With the match's momentum having shifted in his favor, Lee started the fourth game with a 4-0 lead on his way to crushing Lin 11-2.
Facing defeat, Lin managed to edge Lee 11-8 in the fifth game, but fell 11-9 in a closely-fought sixth game to seal the match.
With the victory, Lee will face China's Xiang Peng (向鵬) in the tournament final on Sunday night.
