Heavier traffic, sightseeing seen in northern Taiwan on holiday

Traffic was generally smooth around Taiwan on the first day of the three-day Labor Day holiday Friday except for heavy congestion in the north, especially between the Greater Taipei area and Yilan County, according to the National Freeway Bureau.
