New line on Danhai Light Rail likely to bypass Tamsui Old Street

The second line on the Danhai Light Rail in New Taipei is likely to bypass the popular tourist spot of Tamsui Old Street and run along the Tamsui River, due to opposition from local residents, the city's Department of Rapid Transit Systems said Tuesday.
