Heavy rain forecast in parts of southern Taiwan, Taitung

Taitung County and regions south of Chiayi are expected to experience prolonged rainfall Tuesday, with heavy downpours likely in certain areas, due to strengthened southwesterly winds and a moist low-pressure system moving north from the Bashi Channel, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said.
