Typhoon Danas unlikely to affect Taiwan directly: CWB

A new typhoon that has formed in the Pacific is unlikely to have any direct effect on Taiwan as it moves toward Japan, but Taiwan's outlying islands and coastal areas should be on the alert for heavy surf, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said Monday.
