Cheer squad coach given deferred sentence for cheerleader's death

The district court of Hsinchu County sentenced a cheer squad coach Wednesday to six months in jail for professional negligence resulting in the death of a cheerleader, but decided to grant the defendant a three-year deferred sentence as he expressed deep remorse over the incident.
