228 foreign guests to attend 2026 ROC National Day celebrations: MOFA

Taipei, Oct. 8 (CNA) A total of 228 foreign guests will take part in 2026 Republic of China (Taiwan) National Day celebrations, including King Mswati III of Taiwan's sole African ally Eswatini and Indiana Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Thursday.

The guests include 156 members of visiting foreign delegations and 72 foreign representatives currently stationed in Taiwan, along with their spouses, MOFA said in a statement to CNA.

Of the 156 delegates, 115 are from Africa, 12 from North America and 13 from Europe, while the group also includes 16 reporters, it added.
