Taipei, June 5 (CNA) The 2025 Taiwan-U.S. Defense Industry Forum will be held in Taipei on June 11, with a focus on potential partnerships in drones and unmanned vehicles, the U.S.-Taiwan Business Council (USTBC) said.
Speakers include Chris Decker, president of U.S.-based Planate Management Group, which has done extensive work for the Department of Defense, and Stayne Hoff, Asia-Pacific business development director at U.S. drone firm Red Cat Holdings, according to the USTBC, which is organizing the event.
In addition, USTBC President Rupert Hammond-Chambers and former U.S. Army Secretary Christine Wormuth will deliver opening remarks.
In a May interview, American Institute in Taiwan Director Raymond Greene told CNA that "the defense applications of drones are critically important to preserving peace and security in the Taiwan Strait."
