Taipei, Nov. 20 (CNA) Ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) presidential nominee Lai Ching-te (賴清德) on Monday selected Taiwan's top diplomat in the United States Hsiao Bi-khim (蕭美琴) as his running mate for the 2024 election.
Hsiao, 52, has served as the Republic of China's (Taiwan) representative to Washington, Taipei's most important ally and source of defense articles, since July 2020.
