Hsinchu mayor denies corruption allegations as prosecutors launch probe

Hsinchu Mayor Kao Hung-an (高虹安) on Wednesday denied maintaining an improper relationship with a local property developer, after prosecutors announced they had opened a probe into a complaint filed against the Taiwan People's Party (TPP) politician by several Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) city councilors.
