Prison to assess if press event violated ex-president's medical parole

Taichung Prison, under the Ministry of Justice, said on Thursday it will assess available evidence before determining if former President Chen Shui-bian (陳水扁) violated his medical parole by holding a press event earlier in the day to proclaim his innocence on charges of misusing a state affairs fund.
