Gov't to give assistance to Hong Kong people in Taiwan: president

President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) said Monday that the government will provide necessary assistance to Hong Kong people in Taiwan based on humanitarian considerations as anti-government protests have continued for months in the former British colony and the situation shows no sign of dying down.
