An increasing number of countries are backing Taiwan's efforts to participate in international organizations, as they are beginning to realize that China's attempts to isolate Taiwan are self-serving and do not benefit the rest of the world, American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Chairman James Moriarty said Thursday.
