MOFA twice denied CFS requests for help to obtain loan: source

Ching Fu Shipbuilding Co. (CFS), a financially troubled local shipbuilder embroiled in an alleged loan fraud scandal, had twice this year asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for help to secure a loan but the requests were rejected, a source close to the matter said Thursday.
