Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met Sunday with James Soong (宋楚瑜), Taiwan's special envoy to the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, on the sidelines of the two-day meeting in Da Nang, Vietnam.
