Kaohsiung mayor to ensure safety of visiting Chinese official

Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu said Tuesday amid concerns about protests by pro-independence activists that she will ensure the safety of China's top official in charge of Taiwan affairs during a visit of the southern Taiwan special municipality.
