Taipei, Feb. 26 (CNA) Renowned Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara will hold a solo exhibition in Taipei in March as scheduled and in two new locations in southern Taiwan after art fans there expressed an interest in seeing the show, the event's co-organizer said Friday.

The free exhibitions will take place at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts from March 12 to June 20, the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in July, and the Tainan Art Museum in November, according to the General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC).

The exhibitions will feature the first overseas display of the artist's 2020 painting "Miss Moonlight," the GACC said in a Facebook post.

The painting, which made its debut at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo last summer, features a girl -- a regular subject among Nara's works -- in a yellow top with her eyes closed.

In addition to "Miss Moonlight," viewers will be able to see the artist's paintings on canvas and wood boards, objects made of a variety of materials, and other artworks previously exhibited at the Mori Art Museum.

Germany-trained Nara is now in Taiwan to prepare the exhibition, the GACC said.

The association is co-organizing the exhibitions with the Yoshitomo Nara Foundation and Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts of Taipei National University of the Arts.

For more information, visit GACC's website and the event's dedicated Facebook page.
