Taiwan should focus on avoiding war as China, U.S. vie for power: Academic

Taiwan needs to contemplate how to avoid engaging in a military conflict with China after Chinese President Xi Jinping (習近平) cemented his power and will likely be more aggressive on Taiwan vis-a-vis the United States, a Taiwanese academic has said.
