Taipei, Sept. 30 (CNA) Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport has been named the world's friendliest airport, according to a report by the U.K.-based travel services company Airport Parking & Hotels (APH).

The report, released on Sept. 1., found that 73.6 percent of passenger reviews mentioning staff at Taoyuan were positive, placing it ahead of Cornwall Newquay Airport in the United Kingdom (73.3 percent) and Japan's Narita International Airport (73.1 percent).

Other Asian airports in the top 10 included South Korea's Jeju International (No. 8) and Dubai International (No. 9), according to the report.

"With dedicated spaces for children to play and even a gym and e-sports area, passengers traveling through this airport won't be short on ways to keep themselves entertained while waiting for their flight," the company described Taoyuan Airport in a press release.

The most commonly used words to describe positive staff experiences in Taoyuan include "friendly" (129 reviews), "helpful" (106 reviews) and "efficient" (42 reviews), according to APH.

The company said it analyzed more than 71,000 English-language Google reviews posted between May 20 and late August that mentioned staff at the world's 100 busiest airports and 23 of the busiest in the U.K.

It searched for 52 keywords linked to positive staff experiences, such as "friendly," "polite," "patient" and "professional."
