(TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, launched a large-scale campus recruitment campaign on Saturday, aiming to hire more than 8,000 professionals this year at a time when the local semiconductor industry has aggressively expanded production capacity to meet global demand, with many companies competing for skilled workers.
