Number of furloughed workers up to nearly 8,000 in late March
Taipei, April 1 (CNA) The number of furloughed employees in Taiwan rose sharply to nearly 8,000 in the last two weeks of March due to the economic impact of the global spread of the new coronavius disease (COVID-19), the Ministry of Labor (MOL) said Wednesday.
