About 2,000 engineers under Taiwan-based smartphone vendor HTC Corp. (宏達電) will work for Google Inc. after the Taiwanese firm signed an agreement to sell part of its smartphone assets to the U.S. tech giant, the smartphone vendor said Thursday.
