AUO posts profit in 2016 for 4th consecutive year

AU Optronics Corp. (AUO, 友達), one of the largest flat panel makers in Taiwan, said on Tuesday that it posted a net profit in 2016, marking its fourth consecutive year of profitability, after witnessing a significant improvement in its bottom line in the fourth quarter of the year on the back of a recovery in global demand.
