Washington, April 1 (CNA) A Taiwanese scholar said in Washington, D.C. Tuesday that issues of politics, cross-Taiwan Strait relations and imports of U.S. beef to Taiwan are all potential factors behind the low priority given by the United States to Taiwan's bid to join a proposed U.S.-led trade bloc.
