Chimei, Sharp to form partnership on LCD TV panels: report

Sharp Corp. of Japan, the world's fifth-largest producer of large LCD panels, will link with Taiwan's Chimei Innolux Corp. on deal to supply LCD television panels, with the aim of boosting Sharp's competitiveness in the emerging markets, a Japanese newspaper reported Friday.
