Taiwan-U.S. relations helpful to cross-strait ties: president

President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) said on Tuesday that Taiwan is an important partner of the United States and maintaining good bilateral relations is helpful to the promotion of cross-strait ties and peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
