Cabinet approves bill to increase penalties for use of guns in public

The Cabinet on Thursday approved a draft law amendment that would lead to a jail sentence of at least seven years and a fine of up to NT$15 million (US$464,462) being imposed on anybody found guilty of using a standard firearm in public.
