Taipei night market fruit stall fined NT$60,000 for using banned sweetener

A night market fruit seller has been fined NT$60,000 (US$1,878) after being caught adding the artificial sweetener saccharin to pears for the second time in less than 24 months, the Taipei City Department of Health said Wednesday.
