Taiwan civic groups to form anti-ractopamine alliance

Several civic groups in Taiwan said Tuesday they will form an alliance against the government's recent decision to allow the importation of American pork containing residues of the livestock drug ractopamine, while some opposition lawmakers called for a legislative review of the relevant standards.
