Strong earthquake at sea helps release seismic energy: CWB

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred off Taiwan's north coast early Thursday, an incident described by the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) as beneficial, as it has helped release seismic energy that has been accumulating over the past year.
