Information Technology Month to focus on AI
Taipei, Dec. 2 (CNA) Information Technology Month, one of the largest IT exhibitions in Taiwan, will focus on artificial intelligence, organizers said Monday.
The show, which opens at the World Trade Center in Taipei on Wednesday and runs through Sunday, will feature 300 exhibitors displaying their high-tech achievements, including AI-related gadgets.
It will also reveal the evolution of AI technology development, starting from very beginning to future applications, organizers said.
A special AI pavilion has been set up in which visitors will be able to experience AI products in five major areas.
IT Month will also hold a semiconductor technology forum for the younger generation, the first of its kind at an IT Month show, that will demonstrate the many applications of semiconductors, including how they power AI, quantum computing, 5G and smart networks.
Because Futex Taipei 2019, another annual high-tech trade fair, will be held in conjunction with IT Month at the same venue, the organizers are expecting an especially high number of visitors this year.
In Futex Taipei, over 100 technologies will be on display, from the Artificial Intelligence of Things and biotech to smart machinery and new materials.
After the Taipei event, IT Month will move to Taichung from Dec. 12 to 16, Tainan from Dec. 19 to 23 and Kaohsiung Dec. 26 to 30.
