Polls open for '9-in-1' local elections, referendum

Voting in Taiwan's "9-in-1" local elections opened at 8 a.m. Saturday and will continue through 4 p.m., with voters casting ballots for both city- and county-level chiefs and representatives as well as in a referendum on lowering the voting age from 20 to 18.
