DPP's Lin Chih-chien wins reelection in Hsinchu City

Incumbent Hsinchu Mayor Lin Chih-chien (林智堅) of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) declared victory in Saturday's local elections, winning reelection with a sizeable majority over his opposition Kuomintang rival, former Mayor Hsu Ming-tsai (許明財).
