Taipei, Oct. 20 (CNA) President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) will make transit stops in Hawaii and Guam when she visits diplomatic allies of Taiwan in the Pacific at the end of the month, the Presidential Office said Friday.

Presidential Office spokesman Alex Huang (黃重諺) said Tsai and her delegation will transit in Hawaii on Oct. 27 at the start of the trip and stop in Guam on Nov. 3 before returning home a day later.

Tsai will visit three of Taiwan's diplomatic allies in the Pacific -- the Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and the Solomon Islands -- from Oct. 28 to Nov. 4.
