President committed to upholding press freedom: Presidential Office

Taipei, July 18 (CNA) President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文) has been committed to upholding freedom of the press since she became chairwoman of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), the Presidential Office said Monday, in response to criticism that the party has violated its own promise to remove political and military influence from the media.
