Maverick lawmaker loses KMT membership, legislative seat

Chi Kuo-tung (紀國棟), a ruling Kuomintang (KMT) legislator-at-large, was kicked out of the party and thus lost his legislative seat Wednesday. He will be succeeded by Chan Man-jung (詹滿容), an American study scholar.
