A sharp-nosed viper, colloquially known as the hundred-pace snake, is pictured on the side of Provincial Highway No. 20 in Taitung County early on Thursday. The photo was shared online by a garbage collector from the Indigenous Bunun tribe, after he stopped his vehicle to make sure the snake, which is held in high regard by local tribes, crossed the road safely.
