Inspired by the past

An art installment of 15 windmills on the shore of Qigu District in Tainan, titled "Once," is part of the Tainan 400 Agricultural and Fisheries Landscape Art Festival. It pays tribute to Chen Teng-fa (陳登發), the first person to use wind power to draw up underground brine water for local salt fields. The exhibition runs to April 30, 2025. CNA photo Oct. 21, 2024
