PMI down in August

Taiwan's manufacturing activity continued to contract in August with the purchasing managers index (PMI) falling by 3.6 points to 45, the lowest level since July 2012, according to the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER). CNA graphic Sept. 3, 2015
