Winning numbers released for November-December receipt lottery

Taipei, Jan. 25 (CNA) Taiwan on Sunday released the winning numbers for the November-December period of its uniform invoice lottery, with the NT$10 million (US$318,799) special prize number announced as 97023797, according to the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

The NT$2 million grand prize number was 00507588, while the three first-prize numbers, each worth NT$200,000, were 92377231, 05232592 and 78125249, the ministry said.

Invoices matching the last seven digits of any first-prize number qualify for the NT$40,000 second prize, while those matching the last six digits win NT$10,000.

Prizes of NT$4,000, NT$1,000 and NT$200 are awarded for matches of the last five, four and three digits, respectively.

Claims for the cash prizes will be accepted from Feb. 6 to May 5, the MOF said.

PX Mart said it issued one receipt that won the NT$10 million special prize. The receipt was issued at the retailer's Dazhi store in Taichung, where the winner spent NT$607 on fruits, vegetables, fresh milk and instant noodles.

The retailer also issued two NT$2 million grand prize-winning receipts during the same period.

One was issued at its Datong store in Guishan District in Taoyuan for a purchase of NT$168 that included pudding, bread and snacks.

The other was issued at the Wanmei store in Taipei's Wenshan District, where the customer spent NT$434 on fresh milk, sweet potatoes, tangyuan, and other items.

Meanwhile, the MOF said it also drew prizes exclusively for cloud-based invoices. Each draw includes 30 winners of NT$1 million, 16,000 winners of NT$2,000, 100,000 winners of NT$800 and 3.15 million winners of NT$500.

All prizes can be redeemed at First Commercial Bank, Chang Hwa Bank, the Agricultural Bank of Taiwan, the Kinmen Credit Cooperative and the Credit Department of the Lienchiang County Farmers' Association, the ministry said.

Prizes of up to NT$40,000 may also be collected at credit cooperatives nationwide and at credit departments of farmers' and fishermen's associations.

Winners of prizes of up to NT$1,000 may be claimed at convenience stores and retail outlets including PX Mart, Simple Mart, 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, OK Mart and Hi-Life during business hours.
