Cabinet approves bill to extend EV commodity tax exemption period

Taiwan's Cabinet approved on Monday a draft amendment to the Commodity Tax Act that will extend until the end of 2025 the commodity tax exemption period for electric vehicles (EVs), which is scheduled to expire on Dec. 31 this year.
