Taipei, Oct. 6 (CNA) Taiwan-based smartphone vendor HTC Corp. (宏達電) said on Thursday that its sales in September rose more than 40 percent from a month earlier with market analysts attributing the growth to the firm's efforts to promote its virtual reality headset and the launch of new phone models.
