Rexchip expects Elpida to repay 1.8 billion yen in debt

Memory chip maker Rexchip Electronics Corp. said Saturday that it expects its financially troubled parent company, Japan's Elpida Memory Inc., to repay only about a sixth of the more than 10 billion Japanese yen it owes its Taiwanese subsidiary.
