Taiwan's purchasing managers' index (PMI) rose 0.9 points to 50.1 in December 2014, prompted by growth in new orders and production, according to the latest update published by the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER) on Monday. CNA graphic Jan. 5, 2015
