Taiwan's mainland affairs chief meets scholars, media in U.S.

Hsia Li-yan (夏立言), head of Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council (MAC), told American scholars and media on Friday that he hoped exchanges and negotiations between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait will not be interrupted or changed because of next January's presidential election.
