Chen Deming (陳德銘), president of China's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS), may visit Taiwan in the second half of this year but the date will not be too close to Taiwan's presidential election on Jan. 16, 2016, a Straits Exchange (SEF) official said Wednesday.
