China's M503 route allows Taiwan leeway for defense: NSB chief

China's designation of its M503 commercial flight route 10.2 nautical miles west of the median line of the Taiwan Strait -- 6 nautical miles west of the originally defined route -- will leave Taiwan with considerable leeway to react to any air attacks, a senior security official said Thursday.
