Tsai urges democratic unity against authoritarianism in Berlin conference

Former President Tsai Ing-wen on Monday urged democracies to stand united against authoritarianism as she delivered a keynote speech at the inaugural Berlin Freedom Conference. Tsai outlined steps Taiwan has taken to strengthen its resilience amid growing threats from China, saying cooperation among democracies is vital to “promote peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.”
