Energized Taiwanese rout Japan, capture 21U Baseball World Cup title

Energized by outstanding pitching, uncharacteristic Japanese defensive lapses, and a frenzied home crowd, Taiwan's national 21U baseball team captured the first ever 21U Baseball World Cup title with a 9-0 rout of previously undefeated Japan in Taichung Sunday night.
